14 month -old toddler girl drown after Dad left her alone in bathtub

The father of a 14-month-old Bronx girl who died after he allegedly left her unattended in a running bathtub was released without bail after being arraigned for manslaughter Saturday.
Dan Castillano, 23, left little Leslie Castillano in a bathtub with her 3-year-old brother on May 7 while he washed dishes in their Selwyn Ave. apartment, prosecutors said.
The tub overflowed with the children inside and flooded the apartment below.
He only realized that his child was in danger when a downstairs neighbor complained that water was leaking into her apartment.
“It looked like a waterfall,” downstairs neighbor Daisy Moran told the Daily News at the time.
Moran’s son and the building super knocked on Castillano’s door, but he was unaware that anything was wrong — until he went into the bathroom.
“He said, ‘Let me go check,’ ” Moran recalled. “That’s when he screamed: ‘The baby! The baby!’
